Where do you live and where are you from? I am from and currently reside in Texas, Dallas specifically.
What do you do for a living/profession? I actually have 3 jobs believe it or not. I work a part time job m-f and then I have clients in which I provide fitness training and protective security for.
What do you like to do for fun? Honestly, everything is fun to me; it just all depends on my mood. I could go for a nice book and tea somewhere quite to zip lining in the tropics. YOLO, so experience it all. 🙂
.How long have you been vegan? A little over 3 years. I started in March of 20 12.
Why did you become vegan? It actually started as an experiment to maximize my nutrition and performance for college football preparation. My coach (vegetarian) at the time asked me if I needed meat for protein and I couldn’t give an experienced answer seeing as how I’ve never tried without it.
How was your transition? Necessary and worth it. To say something is either easy or hard is to neglect the other. They are both one in the same.
What is the funniest misconception(s) that you have heard about vegans? Vegans don’t have a sustainable/ balanced diet or health.
What is your Favorite thing(s) about being a vegan? The growth it has provided me to journey life with. The amazing community of compassionate and like minded individuals I’ve met, including my wonderful girlfriend! Most of all, the balance of positive energy towards life and love in this universe for all beings.
What do you think makes a Sexy Bad Ass Vegan? Difference. Be totally different and unique in who you are and what you do. Everyone has a little Badass-ism in their blood.
What is the best vegan dish that you make in your kitchen? I am from Texas….my Tacos are unbeatable.
What is the best Vegan Restaurant you have ever had the pleasure of eating at? My favorite diner goes to Loving Hut and my favorite bakery EVER is Reverie Bakery.
What advice do you have for those that are thinking of transitioning to a vegan lifestyle? Do everything at your speed and never worry about comparing to other vegans. Be flexible with yourself and understand that you are virtually changing the entire chemistry of your body. This means multiple things will occur and need to occur for the full transition.
