As April comes to a close, it is time for us to introduce you to someone so powerful yet graceful that you will look at life differently after reading her story. SCHWARTZTRAINING to the BAV family
Name: SCHWARTZ / SCHWARTZ TRAINING
Where do you live and where are you from? I’m from the Viking country Sweden/ Stockholm lol.
Age? I’m 33 years young What do you do for a living/profession?
What do you like to do for fun?
How long have you been vegan? I have been vegan for almost 10 years.
Why did you become vegan? I was a vegetarian first for many years. Though I felt it was still not enough to just care for the animals in the meat industry, so I stopped with dairy too. THEN I felt I wanted to be able to say “I’m an animal lover”.

How was your transition? To stop with the meat in early 2000 was not the easiest to do for me. My dad was a chef and owned a restaurant and always came home with tons of food. I grew up in a village, yes you heard right, a small village with 2000 people living there. To be the “outsider” as I was, being a little bit different, people didn’t take me and my choice so seriously. I didn’t drink alcohol or take any nicotine or drugs either. So I was number one WEEIRDOO there. The transition in my body, I lost some weight (I was not into training then) and I felt I started to have more control with my ADHD. When I started to put training in my life, after giving birth to my son the ADHD got way better and training and eating good is now my medication.
What is the funniest misconception(s) that you have heard about vegans? The standard –> All vegans are skinny.
What is your Favorite thing(s) about being a vegan?

That I can REALLY say I’m an Animal Lover. NO mixed messages.
What Do you think makes a BadAss Vegan? Bad Ass Vegan for me is a person who puts your vegan lifestyle out there, share the reality to the world, even though the world has a hard time to really open their eyes for what’s the best for the earth, share you don’t have to live off someone else lives to satisfy your own, you don’t need dead animals to be healthy and grow. I have actually a hashtag on Instagram #strongwithoutdeadanimalprotein
.What is the best vegan dish that you make in your kitchen?

What is the best Vegan Restaurant you have ever had the pleasure of eating? The Red Bamboo in NYC. Their chocolate layer cake was yuuum. This was 2012 though, but I can still remember how I enjoyed every crumb.
What advice do you have for those that are thinking of transitioning to a vegan lifestyle?
