Hello, everybody. This is John Lewis. Today, we’re going to be talking about how to minimize stress on your joints while running on the pavement. You want to do this so you can prevent injury and run for a longer distance of time. In performing a routine on how to prevent stress on your joints while running on a pavement, we’re going to incorporate two major drills. One of those drills is going to be walking on your heels for an extended period of time, probably about 40 to 50 steps and another one is going to be running on the balls of your toes. This is going to prevent injury and allow you to run for a further distance. You want to do this drill probably about every day. It’s not a part of your actual running but you want to do this to strengthen the joints and to allow them to recover.
