Why did you become vegan?  Long story made short J My sister went vegetarian in 1999 (around that) and she and I were always together so I obviously went vegetarian. Eventually, we both went vegan as we realized how great we felt the more plant based we were.

How was your transition?  My transition was easy because I loved fruits and vegetables and the more I ate them, the more I wanted.
What is the funniest misconception(s) that you have heard about vegans?  HA! Where do I begin? We are weird. I get that from my family a lot. But how is it weird to have compassion? How is it weird to want to be healthier? I could go on….
What is your Favorite thing(s) about being a vegan?  Being healthy all the time! I love all the good food I put in my body and I love that my meals are always flavorful and colorful.

What is the best vegan dish that you make in your kitchen? I cook so many different types of food, from Jamaican food to Mediterranean food (My grandmother was from Lebanon and migrated to Jamaica). I don’t know what the best dish is but a favorite in our home is Jamaican food. So Rice and peas with brown stew tofu with a salad. I don’t have exact measurements but I love having people over!
