  SepSenAhki (Egyptian) Chef “Ahki”

Where do you live and where are you from?  ATL-from Oklahoma City

Age?  33

What do you do for a living/profession?  Nutritional Counselor, Private
Chef, “Food Activist” and Pro Blogger

What do you like to do for fun?   I love hosting dinner parties, I also love picnics and  anything near the water. I am constantly researching and watching documentaries and finding new ways to educate folks about health. Thats fun for for me..and spending time with my man ofcourse

How long have you been vegan?   13 years

Why did you become vegan?   Though I do not use the term Vegan, I do advocate a dairy free, plant based diet..At 17 I began studying World Religion and many different Eastern Traditional Spiritual Systems…Many of them required a clean diet and required fasting.

photo-37How was your transition?  It was slow. The more I learned, the more I incorporated, the better I felt. I grew up on a typical southern soul food diet and far too much fast food and soda. I struggled with UTI’s and between the age of 7-16 I would literally have fainting spells. I saw my family suffer with cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and reproductive issues. I wanted to get a head start on health. Stay young and vibrant, protect my womb and have children.

What is the funniest misconception(s) that you have heard about vegans?   That they are malnutritioned frail, weak and don’t have many food options

What is your Favorite thing(s) about being a vegan?   I feel Electric!and the compliments on my skin are great. lol

What do you think makes a Sexy Bad Ass Vegan?  A sexy bad ass vegan?? haas…

My Food is not just Delicious, but it’s Indigenous. I am the only exclusively Non-Hybrid “Indigenous” food Chef in the world.  I teach people to “Eat Sunlight” not food. I teach self reliance through messages like “Fight the Power and Grow Something!  I expose agricultural and medical tyranny.  I implore people  to be willing to go the extra mile to give themselves the Best food nature has to offer. That “Illness is Unnecessary.”.and that “We Aint’ Supposed to be Sick.”

What is the best vegan dish that you make in your kitchen?  Hmmm..Maybe My Xi Clan Sushi w/ Black Rice & Marinated Peppers

What is the best Vegan Restaurant you have ever had the pleasure of eating at?   Pure/NY

What advice do you have for those that are thinking of transitioning to a vegan lifestyle?   Cleanse!!!  Remember that your tastebuds have been hijacked. You do not know what foods you enjoy or not, because you have not really tasted them since you were an infant. Cleansing will flush out the parasites and “their” taste addictions with them. Now you are free to try all the vegetables and fruits you thought you didn’t like, or that wouldn’t make you FULL..and don’t be fooled about the “expensive food” myth of a plan-based diet. Diabetes is far more expensive.

Ahki is the best! Beautiful, intelligent and wise. She is a master in the kitchen. She is the total package. The ideal woman in my opinion. I’ve been following her for years. She needs to write a book or create a television cooking show. She is a woman of many talents. She does it all. 🙂
