Where do you live and where are you from? I Live in Moody, AL. I was raised in Kingston, Jamaica, and Sunrise, Florida.
What do you do for a living/profession? Mechanical Engineer at an Automotive Co./Also Personal Trainer.
What do you like to do for fun? Travel around the globe, learning different languages, bodybuilding competitions, going to the movies, and sculpting human physiques.
How long have you been vegan? 14yrs
Why did you become vegan? I was raised a vegetarian by my Seventh Day Adventist mother, and after a short hiatus from that, I decided to go all in and not eat any dairy, meat, or fish. Also studying the dental work of humans, you can see that our teeth are designed to eat the fruit of the earth. Only later did I know it was called being a vegan.
How was your transition? Oh my transition was very easy, but the difference with me is that when I need to stop doing something health related it is easy for me to go cold turkey. The day I decided to stop, I did just that, put the brakes on it!, and here we are today.
What is the funniest misconception(s) that you have heard about vegans? We cannot have a six pack of Abs, we can’t hold muscle well. All we eat is salad, friends telling me that at a picnic they have grass and tree bark, so I will be good. We are hippies, and tree huggers.
What is your Favorite thing(s) about being a vegan? Knowing that I am not following the herd, and leading by example not by force.
What do you think makes a Sexy Bad Ass Vegan? A Sexy Bad Ass Vegan is one who is comfortable in their own beautiful skin, and is able to stand on what they believe to be true to their own individual nature. All the while looking BAD ASS! Yeah!
What is the best vegan dish that you make in your kitchen? Baked Tofu (Frozen tofu thawed, sliced into ½ inch thick slices, brushed with Olive oil or your choice, toss in a mixture of yeast flakes, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, cover al sides, and bake until golden brown on both sides. Awesome contest prep food, I love it, oh yeah do not forget to put a little lemon juice on it.
What is the best Vegan Restaurant you have ever had the pleasure of eating at? So far I have to say Sublime, dang I miss Florida!
What advice do you have for those that are thinking of transitioning to a vegan lifestyle? Take your time do your research, and above all Just Do It! Don’t think about it, be about it.
